Time for Change

September Inspiration In the Midst of Grief

I’ve been listening to this song from Chris Tomlin since the early part of this month and it has been a blessing for me.

This month, I learned that two of my friends whom I began friendship when I was still based in Cebu had both succumbed to cancer. I felt really sad knowing about their deaths. Although both know and loved the Lord, I find myself affected by their deaths, knowing that I won’t be seeing them again until of course we meet on the other side of this life.

Their deaths made me nostalgic about my life, our lives in Cebu. The reality of their passing just really made me aware that I won’t be able to visit them again and reminisce and laugh about our times in Cebu together. Well, such is life.

Their deaths reminded me to live my life to the fullest, to be on point with God’s purposes for me.
